Colin and Claire Bogue
Pastors, Belmont Church
Colin and Claire were radically saved in 1980 in Dargaville under Ray Bloomfield’s ministry.
They then attended Ministry Training School at Kamo Alive in 1990 before moving with their three children to Rotorua as pastors until 1997, then moving on to Tauranga where they joined the Abundant Life Community church as its outreach and evangelism co-ordinators.
Between 1998 and 2000 they spent time on short term mission trips in Borneo, South India, Malaysia, Indonesia. God then challenged them on whether they were prepared to go for the ‘long haul’ to which, eventually, they both knew the time was right.
On 25th May 2000 they moved to Kuching (Malaysia) for Colin to fill the Leadership Development role for New Horizons Ministries. They returned to NZ in June 2006 but returned to Malyasia (Sarawak) in March 2009 to pastor a church in Bintulu and train some locals to eventually take over.
Family circumstances then saw Colin and Claire return to NZ in December 2011, where they lived in Auckland for six years with Colin’s Dad, until, once again, the Lord called them to another church in need of pastors.
Again, after confirmations that it was right, they moved down to Hawera to pastor the Belmont Church on 26th June 2018.

We have ministries for where the men have a ‘Men’s Night’ and meet at the church. Womens’ ministries where the women meet at the church once a week on a Wednesday morning. For the kids, we have Sunday school every Sunday morning during the service. We also have two separate study groups during the week.

Love
Being a Christian is more than just an instantaneous conversion – it is a daily process whereby you grow to be more and more like Christ.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
God cannot give us a happiness and peace apart from Himself, because it is not there. There is no such thing.
